Library
Cards
Anyone who lives, works, or attends school in Madison County is
eligible for a free library card. Residents of counties adjacent
to Madison County may obtain a card for a fee of $10.00. Apply
in person with a valid driver's license or other official identification
and proof of current address. Children 3 years old and older may
obtain a card of their own. However, applications for children
under 16 must be applied for and signed by the parent, guardian,
or other responsible person.Library
cards should be treated with care. Patrons are held financially
responsible for materials checked out on their library cards.
Cards must not be loaned to other people and a lost card should
be reported immediately.
Loan
Guidelines
Circulating books and audio tapes may be borrowed for four weeks.
Video tapes may be borrowed for one week. The library reserves
the right to limit the number of items borrowed one any one subject
so that other patrons will have access to materials on that subject.
Renewals
Materials may be renewed in person or over the telephone. Unless
reserved by another patron, most materials may be renewed once
for four weeks.
